I hear ya. We are living light right now in an apartment until we find a house. It's amazing dinner if the homes you find out there. Saw one yesterday that was like a museum from 1955.

 

depending on your price range (that's if it's on the lower end), check in with us on neighborhoods. there can be some sketchy ones.
Best areas within 10-20 min of your work are ladue, T&C, chesterfield, creve coeur, maryland heights(select areas of it), Ballwin, and manchester. I'd suggest Eureka, but I'm biased and that's nearly 30 minutes.

 

I just moved out to saint Peters. Homes out here 1990 and newer and the average price is around 215,000

Thanks for that, spent some time today with the boy and the rest of it sorting through what was destroyed in the basement. Lots of Porsche stuff that I had been saving because I know how nuts Porsche people get about collecting stuff - I used be a nutty Porsche guy at one time - so I'm bummed because I know there is going to be an arguement about value.

We are looking in the Eureka and Pacific areas actually.

 

Stick to eureka if you can. Pacific is iffy on where you live and the school system isnt great. My address in all technicality is Pacific, but i went to school in eureka.
Only issue in eureka is you'll want a water softener if you live in town.
Top knotch is a good neighborhood, as is the legends. If youre looking 250+ marisol is new and great. More land -head down hwy ff. Tall oaks. High ridge, wilderness trails, and lakewood hills.

 

Make sure to get flood insurance

 

Haha only area he'd worry with that is being in the front of mirasol or augistine heights. Everything else is plenty above. You might get stuck in town, or your subdivision, but thats it.

 

My parents live in Pacific and love it.. luckily they live on a hill away from all the valleys
