haha a t6i is easy. just put it in auto for you. unless you want to actually learn how to use it in manual.. It'll take a minute.
What lenses did it come with?

I didn't get a T6i :( my wife wouldn't let me. Just a T6. Came with a 18-55mm lens and a 75-300mm lens. I actually want to learn how to use it and manually control it to get the best pictures.

Watch some videos on youtube, very helpful. Or go to Creve Coeur Camera, they offer classes.

Just looked up the specs of you camera. Not too bad. You'll be a little limited in low light conditions and any quick bursts shots you'd like as you can only shoot 3 frames per second. ie sports would be harder to shoot as your camera won't click fast enough for you. MP aren't bad tho; they're about the same as my fullframe camera.

As said above youtube videos are great to learn. Though I've never spent money on classes. That's up to you and how you think you learn.
I'd definitely take some time and just go out with the camera and learn on your own and then ask a few questions. If that camera still has a-dep mode, put it in that. Otherwise CA- creative auto is good for a noob. Learn those lenses, and please tell me when you're ready for an upgrade, lol. Those guys didn't last long for my needs.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Start shooting in the AV and TV modes and download everything and look at the EXIF data that goes with every shot.--experiment with the settings and shoot away like there is no tomorrow. One more thing get a non canon guide and read it and use it.
Use program mode if you have to -- but by all means STAY THE HELL OFF OF THE GREEN BOX setting -- with that you will never learn a thing -- the camera is doing all of the figuring for you. The only time I use the green box is when I have had several beers and I still want to get some usable shots.
Enjoy your new camera and don't worry about wearing it out! I shoot with a 7D and a 7D mk 2
Get better and you will get some great shots: Bird is a Red shouldered hawk IMG_0106JCABOR.jpg

In the waiting room of the ER, think I have at least one cracked rib on the left side. Breathing hurts like hell. No restful sleep for days.

    Old age happened.

Waiting on X-rays to see what’s going on. Fingers crossed for it to be a pulled chest muscle but doc thinks it might be cracked ribs.

There is a point on every build where one realizes, there is no going back from here...
I think I’ve reached said point.

Check my build thread...too much to list.
Dang dude, hopefully it's nothing serious. In other news, went to Costco this past weekend and got a bundle of those blue shop paper towel rolls for our build up of supplies at your place.
