Yeah, Zip tie wasn't my choice. It was what the last shop did that replaced my tie rods.

Suggestion, consider a different shop next time.

    Hey guys,
I'm not brand new here but haven't been very active. Do you guys still do meet ups and mod days? Thinking about getting a ARB Safari Snorkel and spoke to a few shops around. They want a crazy amount to do the install

Our next day planned is Feb 24th. Several people have put snorkels on and I'm sure one of them would be willing to help. I helped @MO Tacoma put his on. It's pretty straight forwared, just a little anxiety from drilling into the fender. But it turned out really well.

We triple checked our measurements. The snorkel also came with a very useful template that gets taped up to the fender. With the proper hole saw it was cake. We also applied some paint to the bare metal areas after we drilled to prevent rusting.

I keep forgetting to mention this and so I’ll open with an apology for not doing so.

If you are looking for new leaf springs you don’t have to get the expensive stuff from the California shops. There is a local source right here in St. Louis that makes what you want. So save the $200 bucks for shipping and support some local guys.

I’ll need a pack this spring - have you used them for Tacomas? I wouldn’t know the first thing about how to order a custom set of leaf springs.

You just tell them what you want and they will do it. You want a 3" lift, no problem. You want to haul more weight, no problem. I used them years ago on another project. My situation was them modifying a leaf pack I brought to them. I was really happy with the service.

I have a stock spring pack if anyone is interested in doing the STL Spring Co route.

I need to remember to bug Mark about the TSB pack I gave him to see if he still has it so I can add the overload to my AP Expos and see how that helps.

@MO Tacoma @G.T. if I go with St. Louis spring Co, what exactly would they just need need to add a leaf to my OEM Leaf pack in order to increase lift and payload capacity?
    Thanks, Mike

Longer center alignment bolt and U-bolts. If you take the overload out of Steve’s leafs you may be perfect.

If you're just doing an aal then you can do that yourself . STL Spring will heat treat and reform your leaf pack, add/remove leaves and/or change the arch to increase height.
