Can’t speak to the other stuff as I have found no body lift was needed for 37s but your bumpers will sit lower unless you buy a bumper meant for a body lift. Although making a bumper fit a body lift wouldn’t be too difficult

All of this is true, the body lift combined with flattening the pinch weld and the cab mount chop worked. Odds are that with unmodified factory fenders you may still have some rubbing on them at full lock left or right and at full compression. Instead of trimming I went with some McNeil +2x2 fiberglass fenders. With that all issues were resolved for me.

When the body lift is on your rear bumper will be an inch lower which annoyed me for about an hour. Both of my aftermarket bumpers were manufactured to account for that inch and make it look fine.

I reckon at the end of the day it comes down to “horses for courses” and finding the direction that works best for you.

@G.T. Thanks for the info, I appreciate the detailed feedback! Seeing you and Steve’s rigs, put the idea in my head, and came across a set of McNeil 3” fiberglass fenders for my 3rd Gen, so that’s where I started toying with the idea of 35’s. It may be something I have to revisit down the line, as I still have to get the lift right!

In other news I was able to secure 2 sets of coveralls for the shop, 1 Large and 1 X-Large. Gonna see if I can find more prior to mod day this weekend.

I've been thinking about how I want to go about fitting 35's too. I would love some new fenders but the military don't pay me enough atm for that. Having a stick shift we don't have the luxury of going caveman on the fender well either so that's what makes getting a body lift more appealing. I'm probably gonna start off with cutting fenders and some hammering before getting the body lift just because my front bumper isn't made to deal with a body lift.

Is it just a matter of adjusting the frame mounts on the bumper? In other news today we will be fully moved out of the base housing and into the new house. Also my wife is still holding the little man in and I'm hoping she does till at least Monday that way I can go to mod day lol.

God it’s a pain in the ass, I was coming down a sloppy steep hill and my abs was going berserk, shuttering, making all kinds of stupid noises and stuff. I need to do this and would buy a kit in 2 seconds.

He can make adapters for you and weld them to the bumper I’d imagine. I remember @HomerTaco did something similar for his bumper but I can’t recall if it was a new part, or a modification of something.

Congratulations on finishing the move, we still don’t have the upstairs empty and still have to get everything out of the basement.

Thanks man, tired of paying someone else and I'll be here for at least a couple more years so I figured why not buy.

I'll have to do some research into that and see what the options are. It'll be a huge weight off my shoulders once we did the final inspection later today. I'm bringing lube to that inspection though cause I'm sure housing will try to take me for all I'm worth. We've been spending so much time cleaning and hoping everything is up to par or else I'll kick myself for not hiring a cleaning crew instead. My wife asked me last night at 1130 while I was finishing the carpet cleaning if we should have hired someone.

Edit: When are you guys planning on moving the rest of the stuff over?

Met a guy today at the GreenMount crossing Target store that had a nice looking Desert Tan 3rd gen. Told him about the forum and this thread so hopefully he will check in.

Looks like I'll be around about lunchtime saturday. If y'all work up an appetite let me know if you'd like me to grab some pizzas or something on the way in.

That is if many stick around. Looks like thunderstorms all day...

All I got is help getting the tailgate off to hammer the center support back into place, and possibly remove the wheel spacers time permitting.

Trying to get a custom switch from ch4x4. What size switch do you need? Once I have the switch it'll be ready to go.

It's called Quicksand. Get it right :crapstorm:

I’d dig a any switch that fits a blank really, something as simple as “abs” would work for me.

Just realized I can’t read. A small push switch would be preferable to me
