Tacos in St. Louis area

I'm wanting to get my billstein's on before my trip (26th September). Not sure if @G.T. will be hosting mod day or not, but I have weekends of 15th and 22nd of next month still free. Would anyone be up to helping me out? I'll definitely be doing as much of the grunt work as possible, but need the direction to due it proper. If there's no mod day, anyone else have the right tools? I can pay in beer, sarcastic humor, or future purty photographs for you of whatever.

@mcharfauros what brand did you say those ubolts were again?
Any recommendation of something to touch up the bit of rust on the blocks?

Also anyone else, I have bare steel front skid, and aluminum mid skid headed my way. Leave them bare, or is there any recommendation of finish that will last?

 

I had to watch this 5 times and still don’t know how they made it.

 

Looks like it might be a rock slayer set up? Just normal buggy type stuff. i think the long wheel base actually worked to his advantage

 

@Taco16Jessy sorry im gonna be out of town for a while, if that wasn’t the case you know I’d be down to help you out. The u-bolts that came off my truck were from Headstrong Offroad, but like you mentioned, you’d be better off getting a new set.

Georgia and South Carolina was awesome. Yea, I know Headstrong has their house brand, but they carry ARB u-bolts as well.

After about a year I removed the PlastiDip. Time to pick a different color.

 

Can you go Inferno? It's now a discontinued color, so it's only going to get more "exclusive". lol

 

Consider a vintage Toyota 40 Series color. Would be sweet to see a Tacoma in some of those.

Yes, it's no longer an option for 2019. 2 separate guys in the Inferno thread confirmed with their dealers that it is being discontinued.

 

I was thinking of going with the "sharkskin white", part of their new product line which is supposed to lay down a lot smoother :

 

why not just wrap it instead of dip? Opens you up to all other types of colors and sheens

 

Is one significantly less expensive than the other?
