Right on, I used to mess around out there too. Dated a crazy one armed girl named Karen or something like that from out there. Texas family is all from Marble Falls, Llano, Kingman area but I kinda have a special place in my heart for SA. Lots of good times and great friends down there.

Nice! Hope all is well with your family out there right now. They're getting some serious flooding up that way at the moment..

It’s dumping into the Colorado a quarter mile up river from them right now. Say that the Colorado is turned to mud. I can’t wrap my head around it.

Yeah it really hasn't stopped raining up in central texas the past two weeks. I've seen the worst flooding ever in my area as well right now. Seems as though the TX Hill Country is saturated, yet the rain keeps on pouring

    Yeah.
Yeah, I saw the video of some bridge being taken out. I lived in the Austin area for 20 years before moving to STL for 7 (now in NW Arkansas), and it was always like that -- watch Lake Travis go down over a few years, then it fills up all at once. I remember going out to Mansfield Dam when they had 3 gates open -- looks like they have 8 open now, most since the 1950's. Crazy.

Before this, the river out in my area (the Guadalupe) was the lowest I've ever seen it. The banks were starting to recede and the riverbed was starting to show.. Then it starting raining and it hasn't stopped and now its over flowing. Seems like a vicious cycle of extremes here in tx. Either very very dry, or flooding

We were already living up here when the last major floods happened. My wife was TDY at Randolph AFB and the boy and I jumped on the train to SA to visit for a week once his school let out for summer. The conductor was asking if people had connections in Austin they could meet so that they could hopefully clear the train as they were getting word that the safety people were going to shut down the line around San Marcos due to fears of the line washing out with the weight.

I got a sister in law to meet us at the Austin station and took us to her place and my wife drove 281 to meet us in Marble Falls, that night Wimberly was washed away. Just crazy stuff.

Yeah. Luckily we made it home. I might pull it and try and clean it out real good before I buy any parts. I didn’t look yet because we have other plans..but I’m guessing it’s got some mud in it

Does anybody want a long bed Bestop softtopper? Open to reasonable offers. I have no use for it. And I haven't had time to take it apart.

still sitting dead in the drive. waiting for the brother in law to get here to help with the starter...but I did end up pulling all the seats, center console and the carpet out. hosed all the mud out, vacuumed out the water...

I took the carpet to the carwash to use the pressure washer and soap...its almost dry

...not a very fun price to pay for getting stuck in muddy water. it has me thinking about getting rid of the carpet for good and putting bed liner, or similar down :pccoffee:

Check my build thread...too much to list.
@G.T. replaced his factory carpeting with some liner from toyota. His build thread may have more details.
