Well this will be my second bumper actually. First time around got rear ended with about 5000 mi on the truck. Went with a color matched bumper vs chrome that time. Should have just done the steel plate the first time and been done with it.

I'll definitely post pics and what not once I get it on. Should arrive at fastenal this week sometime. Then off to get it line-x'd.

Anyone know of a decent powdercoat place around STL, not sure if I'll have my bumper in time before I move from up here

Also may need a extra hand when it comes to mounting the bumper if anyone is willing to help, beer provided of course

Dude I live in Alton. There's a powdercoater on Pearl St. In Godfrey. I know a few people that have used him.

Do you know whereabouts you'd be working? In the city or county?

Well are yard is at Union st and I70 so that's pretty much downtown. I don't mind living in the city but maybe some place just outside of the city would be nice

Yea I wouldn't advise living close to work. The north side of town is not in the greatest shape at the moment. I've had a lot of friends live in Brentwood Forest condos, which is in a great centrally located area. Popular areas are Brentwood, Maplewood, University City, Central West End. Anywhere with easy access to 170, 270 and 70 would be the best options in regards to commute. The joke in St. Louis is everything's 15 minutes away as long as you can get to one of the main highways

Thanks, yeah I will probably be out there in a few weekends looking for a place if they need me to transfer out there. I already moved from Orlando to KC for them..... As long as they pay for it again I don't care.

Do you guys meet up often? We meet almost every Tuesday night here in KC.

You could always live in IL and commute. That's what I do.

I have friends that live in Belleville so I was thinking of checking there. How are they on taxes for cars? Is it like MO or is it different?

Check with your friends.we pay personal property tax in MO at the end of the year, but our gas prices are cheaper than IL. My neighbor has been living here in South County MO for the last several years and still registered his truck in IL. I suspect that either taxes are low or non-existent in IL. IL folks can chime in..

Interested if there are any other Pros in the greater STL area? I. Seen that one other one was on Cars.com in west county, and was inferno. Seen an inferno on coming back from Kansas Raceway last Sunday going westbound. That is the only one I have seen in the area so far.. Anyone else out there?

IL there are no taxes on your vehicles but the yearly registration fee is $110 I believe. IL will hit you on property taxes and income tax.
