Got the SOS concepts bumper on tonight. The pics don't do it justice. That's Raptor Liner if anyone's curious.

Looks great! I like the hidden hitch receive. Did you make that or did it come in the design?

Its built that way, to give more departure clearance. Its not rated for weight, but several people said they pull trailers on a regular basis without issue.

I pull a 4 wheeler or double axle trailer from time to time, maybe a pop-up camper a few times a year. They said there would be no problems. Its super stout.

I know that Ive drug the hitch a good amount of times when Im out going to my hunting spots. I actually didnt know that I broke the trailer plug until I took it off to put on the new bumper last night. I guess Ill have to get one at some point.

Because you said that, I was definitely interested. I called AllPro to confirm because I was about to take it off of your hands, and this DOES NOT fit a 12+ due to the front end restyling, which is what I thought. Good luck with your sale.

Very cool. I installed some bed lights yesterday. Finally can see me black lab inside the topper at night! Kit was from MattGecko on here. Very nice kit and was easy to install.

I actually bought a roll of that stuff off of Amazon and gonna give it a shot. My plan was to run it along the metal inside lip of my shell. On my long to do list! It looks great!

Right on, the more the merrier. Still waiting to hear from others about their available weekends - weekdays okay with us too - for camping. Just got word that we are going to be moving back to Texas in a few months and it would be nice to have another fun camping weekend before I start in with the selling/packing/hauling nonsense again.

Lets start with the weekend of the 10th through the 12th of July. Best place to go in Carlyle in mid-summer is the Boulder recreation area as it tends to never be crowded and you get the full effect of the lake breeze across the sites making it noticeably cooler than the sites on the west side of the lake. For those that are bringing significant others and children there are plenty of amenities such as restrooms and bathhouse as well as a playground. A boat ramp for the marine enthusiasts is right next to the site as well.

My wife is already in Texas but my son - five year old - and I will gladly make it and will be able to stay both Friday and Saturday nights. Sites #20 through #23 offer some of the best lake views but practically no shade. #34 through #39 are nice as you get lake view plus the breeze and they offer a bit more privacy as they are away from the bathhouse and the playground. We are easy to get along with and will go with the group.

Since we will be using our Flippac we can share a spot with another that intends to use a ground tent or just day visit. Can't recall but fairly certain that all of the sites offer electric hookups for those that are bringing a camper trailer or other electrical accessories.

Lets get it started folks so we can get our reservations in to get spots next to each other.

I could come after I drop my wife off at Lambert that Saturday. Not sure if I'll camp or not yet, but count me in for Saturday!

Check my build thread...too much to list.
Hello everyone! Just wanted to drop by to find out who is in the area and what if any off-roading is in the area. Just got orders to Scott AFB and I'll probably be there around the beginning of September.

    Yeah.
Welcome, Angel, September is a good time of year to show up. Starting to cool off a bit and fall colors starting to come out. Doesn't seem to be a lot of us here. Seems that this is more of a Jeep/Dodge town.

So it looks like most people are available Saturday for camping or hanging out. I am in for Saturday, just me and my dog. I have a RTT, so I will just need a relatively flat spot to park the truck.

Right, my son and I drove back out to the site to confirm and since some of us are bringing kids I opted to reserve site #019 to camp for both Friday and Saturday nights. Close to the kids play area as well as the bathhouse. I know that #018 next to it is level and I think that #060 is fairly level as well. #060 can be reserved in advance and #018 is a "first come, first serve" spot. If someone really wants it I can make a point to arrive as early as possible Friday and go ahead and get it paid and you can cover the expense when you arrive. The place is setup to accept large RV's so they've graded it out nicely. Like I mentioned before we will be camping in our Flippac so if someone wants to use a ground tent they can come setup on our site.
