My Comeup winch has been paid for and hopefully gets shipped soon. I'm excited to finally get my self recovery setup together.

Sounds good, I'm pretty light on coin or I'd throw in for one too. I'll just have to drool over yours.

I'm taking my wifes car in to get all the windows tinted on Monday so she will have my truck with her. She parks in the AMC lot on the west side of the building. Don't laugh too hard at my 76,000 mile factory tires slicks.

Thanks for the info! Are you positive those steelies would run 285/70/17? I've been searching on the forum and can't find anyone running 4 of them full time.

My brother-in-law used to run them with 295/70/17's on his 2012 access cab. Now he has my Rock Mosters with 315/70/17's. I fired off a text to see if he still has them but I thought he said that he sold them to a friend of his. If not, want me to grab them when I go down there at Thanksgiving and bring them back up with me?

That'd be awesome! Let me know, otherwise I saw some pretty cheap ones online. Even some used ones for real cheap.

Turns out that he has already traded them off to a friend for something else but you are right, the wheels are quite affordable and easy to source.

Monte, PM'd you my number in case you still want to do truck stuff then.

I'd be in for a mod day/meet. I'll be swapping out my front shocks soon, so if anyone is wanting 5100s I would give you a good price on them to save me from craigslist. 20k miles on them.

Good news! I won't be going out of town next week and this weekend is a 3 day (Sat-Mon) for me! Bad news is my winch still hasn't been shipped out.

That Monday I'm dropping the truck off to get a little fiberglass work done on the camper.

What are the best Toyota dealerships in STL? Headed there from CoMo to shop for a 4Runner this weekend.

Illinois side of the river, Newbold has done us pretty good. Ask for Mark Wakeford, we've bought a few Toyota's from him and never left with a sore ass. You can tell him that the Whitlow's gave you his name, don't know if it will help but it couldn't hurt.

Thanks! I probably won't get that Far East but I'll keep it in mind. Coming from the west.

I actually know the Newbolds, they do treat people right. I have dealt with Pappas Toyota in St. Peters and have had great service and care. They really helped me out with my supercharger install and have gone the extra distance to keep a happy customer. If you are looking for salesmen, talk to Jim Adams @ Pappas. He sold me my truck and is a fellow Tacoma owner and enthusiast. His name on TW is semoak. Or you can PM me for his number.

About fourteen-fifteen years ago I was heavy into sports cars and one of the Newbold's - guy in his early twenties - was talking about how he'd love a chance to go fast so I invited him to one of our clubs track days on the road course at Gateway and took him around in my 2000 911TT for a session. He had a blast and was laughing the whole way. Next session out he rode with a friend of mine in a 911 GT3 cup car and his face when he got out was hilarious. He was white as a sheet but he had a shit eating grin plastered on nonetheless.
