Next weekend but I'lll be tearing apart my UCAs (again) and helping T4R replace diff fluid if you want to come hang out.

I can't, I'm back on the road Sunday morning, hopefully HOPEFULLY this coming week I'll hear from ups finally about a job. Next modday I can attend, itll be with Richs old shocks and coils, supposedly itll lift the 4runner by 2 or so in the front

Dirty fives

 

They're squealing louder than a pig getting electrocuted. I've contacted Total Chaos and as usual they're only suggestion is to grease them. I tried explaining to them that I've tried that 3 times since getting back from ATR and it has not fixed it. So ive read some testimonials and gonna try something new tomorrow. Hoping it works but at this point I'm doubtful. I may make a video and send it to Total Chaos. I'm telling you its absolutely obnoxious and in no way normal or tolerable

 

FYI I'm also mad at RCI right now. I called and asked if I could purchase just the transfer case bash plate without the cross member. They said "yes no problem just purchase the whole thing from our website and we'll refund you the difference before we invoice it."

I'll give you one guess as to what they didnt do.

 

Call and ask politely? Mistakes happen, and so far everyone I know who's dealt with them has had a great experience.

That's really weird. I just greased mine yesterday becausr they started groaning again and then sprayed some CRC on the uniballs and now all I hear are the leaf springs

Yeah I will but as usual it's the weekend and they wont open until again until Monday and they already shipped the package so I'll be curious as to come Tuesday if they included the cross-member or not. I clearly stated in the purchasing notes that I did not need the cross-member and what's even weird is I made the purchase literally seconds after hanging up with the sales rep following his instruction. Just disappointing and frustrating. I'm nervous that if they did ship the cross member it's going to fall on me to ship it back to get a partial refund when it should have never happened in the first place.

Yeah I bought a new transfer case skid since my current one accommodates the OE exhaust which I'm getting re-routed next weekend. The new skid doesnt have the hump in it. Flat piece of steel essentially.

Yeah I've never had a problem with the bushings until I replaced them in June. I'm wondering if it's a defective batch of polyurethane. I use their recommended super lube with ptfe and their recommended CRC dry lube for the uniball. Whenever I drive by someone I see their faces cringe because it literally sounds like metal on metal

 

Sounds like those bushings might be the culprits
