The wardrobes for the boys room are coming together, one more of the narrow ones to build and then I can drill to bolt them together and then all of the rails, shelves and drawers can go in followed by the doors. He’s been helping allot which slows it down but is making the project allot of fun.

*Desk has been spoken for and will be picked up tomorrow.*

In other news, his new bedroom where this is all going was my office space so the desk has to go. Free to anyone who wants it. Desk and similar style filing cabinet go together and can be yours for the low, low price of “come get this stuff out of my house!”

*computer parts not included, any warranty stated or implied was just a ruse to sucker you into the deal. Mileage may vary.

Yeah so this whole trail mod came thru StL members helping out, good advice, esp from GT. Suspension is Bilstein 6112, Set for 1” Rear is Bilstein 5160, OME medium DAKAR, 2.5”. Skids, sliders, bumpers. The last mod I tried was front camera but parts didn’t match up. Really could have used it today.
Cost ; this is a “ follow” tour, I think up to 3 cars. Just for me, $325 plus tip.

Think of a big storage box that’s built up to support camping that you can connect to the flatbed tray for trips, disconnect, insert a jack leg on each corner and jack it up to be able to drive out from under. Saves the utility of the vehicle and makes packing for touring and camping easy as. I like to wheel allot so the ability to establish a base camp to be able to return to appeals to me greatly.

I knew a few members were thinking of going flatbed, is this goal most are going for?

it’s not for everyone to be sure but it definitely changes the utility of the vehicle. Day to day driving would net better fuel economy and wheeling would benefit from being lighter. Being able to pack the canopy and just leave it in the shop would be a great benefit for me for security purposes.
