Yeah, I was thinking the same thing...would make it less bothersome, as long as the switch actually got turned off.

Bummed one of the electricians' multimeters from work and did some testing. The whip circuit is definitely the one that is creating the draw. System is running anywhere from 40 to 80 mA without the whip hooked up. With the whip circuit hooked up and the light off, it was drawing a hair over 0.7 amps, and, at the current setting on the light, 0.8 to 1.1 amps. I had trouble keeping a consistent hold, hence the ranges. May not really mean anything, but I tried unplugging the light from the wiring running to it, and the amperage was expected, in the 50mA neighborhood.

Meh, I got 99 problems, but I don’t have to wait for a tune to make my transmission shift properly... I’ll change that gear myself, thank you.

I don’t understand why Toyota can’t make the push button start in the manual. I’ve had push button start in rental cars in Europe. The tranny shouldn’t matter.

They’ll add it randomly in a later model year so they have a new feature to talk about

I miss the push button start and door handle lock and unlock from my lexus and previous Tacoma.

Funny enough, if you put it in gear and push it, it'll start.... :anonymous:

    It’s raining. And I’m camping.

I just dried my tent out.
    Ugh. Not complaining.
    Just ranting. Goodnight.
