@HIYota has been approved access to the MO4WD forums.

Also, a group of us are planning on taking a leisurely cruise down Lost Creek Road near Warrenton this coming Saturday on the 18th of June.

The loose plan is to meet at the Warrenton Wal-Mart between 09:00 - 09:30 and roll out to Lost Creek Road as a group. Once we reach Missouri 94 we will turn south to Marthasville and from there turn back NorthWest on Missouri 47. The next turn will be NorthEast onto Charette Creek Road which we will follow up to Reifsnider State Forest which offers a free public firing range, fishing, and a few places to setup and do some grilling and socializing near a nice creek. Leashed pets are welcome, unleashed children as well at your own risk.

For those that have never been this route, it offers countless opportunities for great photographs of great views.

NOTE: You do not need to have a built vehicle to travel this route. If you have purchased a 4wd vehicle and it is still stock you should not experience any problems at all and for safety concerns we can arrange our group so that you are in the middle to ensure that you can receive assistance from both front and rear if required.

Please post in this thread if you plan to attend.

haha hit you up on Facebook, Heath. Was hanging out talking to Bob last night and we finally put two and two together and realized we both knew you or knew of you.

Made it out there to WolfFab yesterday and Austin got a template made for my bed rail project.

Also finally got to see @G.T. 's rigs. Gotta say I was very impressed with that Flipac set-up he's got.

Hello all Tacomaworld members in St. Louis! Sad first post coming.... Long time lurker and inspiration finder on Tacoma world and eventually I was going to do a build thread and post in the new members section but hadn't yet... so on to the sadness, last week my trusty 2.7 died with 336,000 on it and now I'm looking for quality options on rebuilding, replacing, or some combination of the two and figured a good place to start learning would be here and in the thread of the city where I spend most of my life! Any ideas/ suggestions are welcomed!

    Short notice:

Going to be at the shop tomorrow morning to fiddle with the Land Cruiser a bit and would enjoy your help/company. @HIYota, you ever come back to town?

Lots of options depending on what you want to spend and what kind of shape the rest of the chassis is in. That's a lot of miles, so there may be things other than the engine that need to be addressed.

In my experience, the best and cheapest route to go is with a Japanese pull-out motor. Japan has some odd inspection laws and vehicles are taken off the road and recycled a lot sooner than they are over here. You can get a full motor in a crate for cheap and just swap it in. No guarantee on how many miles are on it, but I have had good experiences. Me and a buddy did a Datsun 210 and a Mazda 323, both were done and running in an afternoon, no smoking or leaks. That was years ago, but you can still get these crate pullout motors. Save some money on the engine and have some money to address any chassis issues like bushings, bearings, tie rod ends, ball joints, shocks, etc.

My 2 cents anyway, and welcome!

Hey everyone, I'm moving to St. Louis next Saturday from Kansas City to go to optometry school at UMSL.

Here's my 2001 TRD Offroad PreRunner double cab with the Toytec complete 3" lift kit with 5100s all around and add-a-leaf.

Do y'all have a Facebook page? Did a quick search and didn't see one

Hey man welcome to the STL! I actually work in the Veterans Center at UMSL and am a mechanical engineering student. Although you'll be on South Campus in the Optometry department, you should come say hi sometime. My Tacoma is always parked on the first floor of the west drive parking garage (since I don't fit on levels 2+) and is pretty recognizable.

There is MO4wd.com and FB group. The most active (but not really) off roaders I've met in the area. Lots of Toyotas in the group, and a few Nissans and Jeeps.

Took my Land Cruiser met its new stablemate. 2016 4Runner Trail Premium for my bride. Bringing it home Monday and hiding it the garage so she will see it when she gets back from her Texas trip.

Trail premium wheels, yes. It has the KDSS installed and m trying to figure out the suspension options as apparently I'm the only one who has ever asked about upgrading one with it and everyone I speak with gives me the "I don't know" routine.
