My parents are headed to Flagstaff/Sedona the week leading up to the 4th. I’m hoping to go, but it’s going to depend on where I’m at with vacation allotment/job. Had an interview in Indy this morning that sounds promising. Would put me mostly out of striking distance for mod days without planning, but I think would be better for state of mind at this point.

Spent an hour tracking down why my locker wouldn’t turn on.... loose wire because dumb shits do not take pride in their work. Didn’t even get a full crimp when they spliced their power wire into on of mine (which is wrong I’m pretty sure) that go to my lights.

Literally stopped working one day. Locker switches lit up but no compressor kicking on. Figured it had to be electrical... I found it, soldered the connection and heat shrinked it so it will not come loose again.

And found out that my license plate light (has not been working) was damaged when they installed my bumper. They literally tried to get the bulb socket to stick to the license plate light assembly with some sort of rubberized shit. AHH frustrates the hell out of me..... now trying to get a replacement

Why is it so hard to do your job correctly and take pride in your work? I just don’t understand.

Arb was installed at Pur performance, yes they came highly recommended. They suck. They also snapped a bolt, rtv’d it back on and sent it on its way- yes it leaked- yes they said I was rushing them- no I was not. They were not telling me why it took 3 days longer than expected.

Anyway have a good day all! That is my rant for the day.

Every time I hear about someone having work done at a shop, I find less and less reasons to do so

Yup, all because I was nervous about putting a hole in my brand new trucks diff... if a shop can do this kind of work, hell I’ll do it on my own. I fully intend on putting gears in my truck (which I’ve done before) just usually don’t have time. After all the screw ups from shops, I’ll make time.

Makes you wonder if I caught this, what happens to all the other thousands of vehicles they work on... what does their crap work look like on theirs.

This why I avoid shops as much as possible unless it's MAJOR work that needs to be done and if I don't have the right equipment to do it. Learned that lesson when my ford was going through coils like crazy and it turned out my head gasket was literally in pieces. The shop I was going to just kept replacing the coils and it qould fix the problem for a few days then I went to a shop that a buddy of mine worked at and he found out the issue the day after I dropped it off

Edit: I didn't reqlly know how to work on vehicles at the time but now i know better :D

    That's why we have Modday.

Also everyone recommends Put performance, went there once with the Lj and said nope.

I've learned a bunch over the years from all the mod days starting back in Cali with my buddy @PreRunnerSeth. I am willing to attempt most mechanical things. There are things I'm not willing to touch on the truck, mostly electrical crap or welding. Those I suck at, especially electrical. Back on my old truck my stereo wiring was so bad it killed my battery consistently and ended up being convinced it was my alternator by a shop. It was a good $$ lesson once I was able to get it looked at by a family friend.

I’ve done it several times, not worried about the Install. It’s the time. I had to literally schedule the tacobox install with the wife lol

man I’m waiting. I keep messaging them about the rclt to find out price. If it’s between 4-5k it’s worth it to me. Any more- negative.

That's my guess on their lower end kit without their optional upgrades.

Im hoping so. I can also see it being 7-8k easily. There’s like 200+ parts to the kit. Plus the mar rack which could easily be 2k by its self

If it's as good as it's being hyped up to be I can see it costing upwards of $10k for the best kit. You'll have close to capability of sas with much less fabrication time/effort.

The most technical things I've done so far was outting in a transmission in and putting in/taking out an engine out of my buddy's car like 3 times now lol and me and him did a head gasket replacement on a Saturn which was a pain, it was an experiment to see if we could do it successfully and it was, just had a pretty small leak lol
