G'day all, just signed up. Have had a long history with Toyota trucks, here is a brief history. Bought a 1980 short box in 1987ish. 22r with 33's had a 8000lb ramsey winch and typical 1980 box rust. Drove the SNOT out of that thing for many years in many places where nobody else could go. It would not die! I ended up getting hit by a train (long story) and it finally met its match. I ended up buying a chev for some reason and when that got stolen i came across a 1987 extra cab long box 2.0 liter turbo diesel. Gutless as hell but incredible fuel economy. Great truck until the engine calved and i found it was impossible to find parts for it and didnt have time to swap in a gas engine. Sold it way to cheap but needed a daily. Fast forward to 2007 i was again replacing something that i wrecked and bought a 2001 taco of a used car lot. Originally from Arizona with that horrible gold/brown color. I had her for 12 years! 450,000 kms without missing a beat. Did the clutch 2 summers ago and 2 brake jobs over the years and thats it. Regularly changed the oil and chucked a timing belt and water pump in a few years back just because. I would still be driving her today but some dick head rear ended me a coupla months ago and alas she is finished! Just bought a 2015 access cab with a 6 speed manual. Must say it has been a pleasure to drive so far. Good power and i really like the looks of it. Chucked a pro comp 3" lift into it because it was way too low and am looking to build a bush bumper up front when i get time. Wow that was way more than what i intended to write but there it is!
