Not enough to have a build thread.
I second this. Except I've only been "here" for a few weeks

I have been to Picante!! I loved it. My travels have only taken me by it once so I havent been back, but will def return. I havent been able to remember the name to go back but i looked it up and same place. Thanks!!
Scorpion Bay is on my list of must visit surf spots. I could eat anything after surfing. To post session quote a great man who took me surfing many times said "Im so hungry I could eat the ass end out of a skunk!!"

TRUTH. First thing I had there was carnitas super burrito. LOVED it. Will have to try carnitas plate there. Next time youre up here, try Las Chiquitas in Redwood City. First time I went there I got carnitas street tacos. So good, I ordered a side of carnitas to go...

Been there once, would def return. Was there with a bud for the SF Save The Waves Film Festival. Sat next to Mark Cunningham at the Taqueria (Best bodysurfer EVER, North Shore Lifeguard legend, etc...) and shot the shit with him. His dick was great but I really wanted to try his niece's taco...

Taqueria Los Comales, Dimond District. In my top five...
Try it, they cook up everything fresh. Their ground beef is bomb too...
Because your burrito doesn't fit my taco...

Azteca in St Helena makes these shredded chicken tacos that are unreal. It's more like a pile of mexican shredded chicken stew pilled on top of 2 tiny tortillas, but if you can master the craft of picking it up, not having it run down your arm and make it to ingesting it, there's nothing else like it.

I also completely forgot about one of my favorites on the way when I make the rare drive down to Los Angeles.

It's in Huron. About ten minutes off interstate five near Coalinga. You'll pull into an unassuming gas station called Jet Stop and in the back is a carneceria that makes some of the best tacos I've ever had. I was introduced to it by a friend who grew up in Fresno County and used to work picking tomatoes and bunk with the laborers, even though his dad is the owner of most of the tomatoes and almonds grown in the region.

Bought carne Asada from Los Hermanos produce and meat mart on Fruitvale in Oakland today. Turned out awesome...

Not QUITE tacos and not quite the areas you are talking about, but Pupuseria La Chicana in Woodland is my all-time favorite place to eat at for all things south of the border. The pupusas are absolutely amazing.

East Oakland - Any taco truck on International near High/Fruitvale. I think Gordos or something like that was my favorite when i lived out there.

Gotta say though... while Tap is one of my favorite hot sauces for everyday, you should get some valentina for tacos. I absolutely love that stuff.

I'm a Hayward guy. Most shit around town is the same BUT I love the taco truck on A St. Their carnitas are for real. They have daily specials BUT they just raised their prices to restaurant prices.

Cal State Hayward alumni here. They switched to East Bay while I was there. Not a fan of name changes...

There’s a taco place on Winton by the courthouse I’ve been wanting to try. Can’t think of name, but by all the bail bond places. Know if it’s any good?

My favorite in the area is Tacos Uruapan off Industrial Blvd

Yeah they're pretty good. Portion size is good. They have a secret hot sauce! Haven't been there in a while but I remember the wet burrito was a meal for 3.

Do it! I went there a couple years ago (my truck broke on the beach). It's beautiful. Sadly the ocean was like a lake while we were there.

Ranch Milk Market, Watsonville CA. Looks like a funky gas station, but nice inside and great beer selection. Try the Super Bandera burrito (I prefer chile verde). Great Carne en su jugo as well.
