OK, I sure hope their products are good because their customer service sucks. First of all, they have no phone number, just an e-mail. You are lucky to hear back from them once every 3 or 4 days.

I ordered a sub and enclosure plus an amp mounting board on August 12th with plans to do a Labor Day weekend upgrade project with my 14 yr. old son. It's now Sept. 1 and it doesn't look like I will get my products. He claims the Line-X guy in his area has held him up. I never in a million years thought I wouldn't get this stuff within 4 weeks of ordering it!!

Anybody that has a relationship with Rob at TacoTunes, please send him an e-mail and ask him to ship his products on a timely basis. I read a lot of "stay away" threads on this board about TacoTunes but decided to take a chance.

Now I am not sure I made the right choice....

Sorry about your experience. Hope everything works out. What other mods do you have planned for the weekend or was it just the sounds system?

I was planning a pretty cool upgrade with the a new Alpine PDX-5 amp and putting the LED's behind the amp mounting board like Octane151 did. Also putting in micro LED's around the cab (cup holders, glove compartment, center console, etc). Figured between all that, watching football (go Ga. Bulldogs) and drinking beer, the weekend pattern would be full!

See Octane's upgrade here (very cool):

Well said! I'm new to TW, and was just about to pull the trigger on some stuff from Taco Tunes when I came across Marv here on TW. Hate that others are having such a tough time with TT, but sure glad I got in touch with Marv instead. I've only talked to him once, and agree with all of you.....definitely a first class guy who obviously really enjoys sharing his love and knowledge of car audio. Everybody has things to deal with in life, but all I've ever asked for is some good communication to let me know what's going on. I can't stand not being able to get in touch with someone, especially when I've paid them money for products and/or services. I've got a feeling Marv's business is about to REALLY pick up. Anyway, looking forward to getting my adapters any day, and hopefully starting my install this weekend. Lovin' my new Taco so far!

Was going to order TacoTunes baffles until another member set me straight. Spent some time on the phone with Marv and he set me up nicely.

    Great product too!

My experience with TacoTunes was pretty mixed...Communication was pretty bad. I purchased everything thru him including all of my Image Dynamics gear. I received the ID gear within 4 days but it was dropped shipped from ID. My speaker baffles and amp wiring kit took about 4 weeks. My sub box took 5 weeks with about 5 emails to Rob and 3-5 days until he replied.

Recently I had an issue with my one of my crossovers and he replied to my email within a day and hooked me up with a rep from Image Dynamics to get it taken care of.

So overall I was pretty pleased, just wish they had a phone # to call or at least reply to emails with 24 hours.

It would be nice if this thread could be a sticky in the Audio section. It would save some people grief in the future.

Hey! Guess what! Just heard from Rob at TacoTunes!

My shit still isn't shipping!!! Sent me a long email (see below) about how the Line-X guy is screwing him up. So, just know, if you buy from this guy, you can expect the same. 5 plus weeks to get a sub box and amp mounting board, unbelievable. Oh yeah, and I told him on Monday to just send the board unsprayed and I would do it myself. He said "no problem, I'll ship it Tuesday:

    From Me:

If you can't get it sprayed, you can send it unsprayed and I will get it done here. I need it by Thursday please.

Where are you located. Trying to figure out shipping time.

    From Rob:

I am in SA, I can have a non-sprayed shipped tomorrow. I will go and pickup from the sprayer.

    From Rob Today (Thursday):

    From: "sales@tacotunes.com" <sales@tacotunes.com>

    Sg:
Man I am really sorry the linex guy never showed up so I could pick up the boards. Business has been really bad for them as not many big trucks are being sold he is doing lots of remote stuff that keeps him away from the shop. I am trying to find a backup sprayer. But we usually get about 100 boxes and boards sprayed at the same time at their convenience. I aplogize I thought he could get it done for us. As I mentioned that is why we did nothave it listed yet.

I am really sorry for the hassle.

MY QUESTION IS "WHAT THE F*#@K HAPPENED TO SENDING THE STUFF UNSPRAYED LIKE YOU SAID YOU WOULD DO ON MONDAY!!! DO YOU EVEN LISTEN TO YOUR OWN WORDS!!!!!!!
