Is that enough room to sleep in?

If you're 5'8" it is. It has a full size mattress which is 73". It's hard to get a good interior picture that looks accurate.

RIP. I'm 6'4" and my wife is 5'11", so that's a no for me.

That's why building your own is great. You can design it to fit your exact needs.

@MachRanger is spot on. Hilldweller over on Expedition Portal is like 6'5" and, IIRC, has a king sized bed in his teardrop. I think the main hangup people have with something as small as a teardrop is that they think of it as an RV when in reality a hard sided tent is a better way to look at it.

I agree - many people think of teardrops as mini-RVs, when in actuality, they are hard sided tents. Once you have line of thinking, everything makes sense. ;)

    HIlldweller has a 6' x 10' teardrop, with a king size bed. Mine is 5' x 8', with a queen size bed.

Thanks. I started to keep track of costs at first but then lost track after a few months. I have it insured for $5k to cover materials and my time if it's ever totaled. When I look at sticker prices of factory built campers I'm shocked at what they cost.

This is an awesome build, is this the first time you’ve built a [teardrop] trailer?
