    Translation:

Anyone want to go out in the swamps of Jersey with Boyd and me? There should be some other assailants and potential victims coming along. Plan on telling your family that you are making a weekend out of it, that should give us more time to hide the bodies before anyone notices you are missing.

Nope. Actually on a serious note for once.

It was an Army Ranger just back from overseas deployment. He put on his dress uniform, drove his dual sport back to Apple Pie hill, then shot himself in the head. My buddy thought he was just sleeping until he saw the blood. Shitty day for him for sure.

I looked into it more and there are 7 attempted suicides by active military personal back from Iraq/Afghanistan per day. Maybe we should bring them all home...?...

This was a soldier's soldier. Look up "Honor" and "Duty" in the dictionary and you might find that the entry is illustrated with a photo of Sgt James E. Lyons.

In Germany he completed Combatives Instructor Level 1 training of the Warrior Leaders Course, Observer Control Training, and Sniper Training. He was subsequently selected as the company's Senior Sniper. In 2009 he was chosen to represent the US Army European Sniper Team, where his team placed 7th.

Sgt. Lyons was an infantryman, a Ranger, Airborne. From the record:

"On July 16th, 2007 Sgt. Lyons deployed on the Advance Party to Iraq for his first combat tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sgt. Lyons was an outstanding soldier and an essential part of "Apache" Company. During his 15 months in Iraq, he demonstrated the highest degree of integrity, dedication, courage, commitment and honor in fulfillment of his mission. Sgt. Lyons was directly responsible in the capture and or elimination of several high level targets. Sgt. Lyons returned to Germany from Iraq in October 2009."

Sgt. Lyons wore the Combat Infantry Badge. You only get that when you are directly engaged in real-life combat. His other awards include the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, 4 Army Commendation Medals, 2 Army Achievement Medals, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Parachutist Badge, And, he wore the Expert Marksmanship Badge.
