?

Will I end up with a functional 5.7L Tacoma?

  1. Yes. I watched you're video and I have faith in you.

    37.8%
  2. Probably. I mean, you already have a whole Tundra for parts.

  3. Maybe. If you're a Toyota tech and have an engineering degree.

  4. Probably not. If it was possible, other guys would already have it done.

The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here. Tacundra 42 is a vine of short clips from past episodes PLUS that magic moment when we get to hear the truck fire up! Then watch me celebrate and get high. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szT6piTRyl8

some guy on instagram swapped a Tundra V8 into a 5th gen 4runner, then supercharged it
which probably uses the same drivetrain and frame as the 2nd gen Tacoma

    Was it a 5.7 V8, or the older 4.7?

And yes, Tacoma and 4Runner have they same frame, I wouldn’t count on engine bay and firewall dimensions being the same since the 4Runner has an optional V8 and the Tacoma never did.

I never really "got" the purpose of burn outs like that.

    Super cool though!

Stock reintegration, was the most challenging aspect. Compared to say wiring up a standalone. A worthy accomplishment.

Wiring would have been easier, but then tuning would have been a necessity. Compare to wiring heavy, and no tuning necessary.

Means now that it is button up time. Nearly there for offroad shenanigans.
