    Yes

No, it has 2 wires, bed light + and ground.

Possible if you open a door with cargo on door or set cargo to on. Or source constant hot (possibly to switch's fuse box in the taillight cavity for distribution) then have the leer tube light off constant power and some alternative dome light off cargo. That's _sort_ of my plan but the vled bedlight kit with tailgate pinswitch is cool and will add some light that I don't have right now and I'm also contemplating trail boxes on the sides which might interfere so who knows what I'm doing. I have a matt gecko kit I've never installed, someday.

The tailgate lock intercept. Look at the pictures to see how it differs. This is where the body harness and tailgate harness connect, so you can remove the tailgate with the lock harness installed. They are all 2 wires but different wire colors and different connectors. I like the OEM harness but quite a few people think they have the OEM tailgate harness and don't realize the SET aftermarket port installed item is entirely different from the OEM one.

I can live without the disabling of the tailgate lock but maybe I am overthinking the dome light. In an ideal world I would love my dome light to have constant power so I can turn it on in the garage to see what is going on without going into the cab...and have the cargo light switch in the cab turn on the factory/accessory cargo lights AND the Leer LED dome light to light up everything. Can this be accomplished with a diode or two?

Not without an extra switch upstream of the diode. If you want to use the switch on the leer tube light, you'd need to open up the tube and redo the logic of how it's fed such that it has 3 inputs (cargo, power, ground) and then the switch is a rocker between on/off/auto.

    Ordered! # 55515206

Jury is out on what to do with the dome light (I may just add another one always hot) but the messy wiring from the topper place really bugs me. This should fix it in one shot. Also ordered the DIR with Aux output...I wasn't planning on it but I am going to be having this 'tailgator' installed (reverse at :54) and will use the aux output to trigger the white lights:

I wasn't planning on tying into the reverse because I did not want to splice the factory wiring but this will avoid having to do so.

    Thanks again!

Also-if you want to put some connectors in there for me to try the RIT dye I can see how it goes and send you back the finished product.

I set aside 3 of the tag 6 pos connectors so I hopefully don't forget. This order will take me a while, I just ran out of red milspec and re-ordered today. I could build it with orange or yellow if I have to but I think the red already shipped. And the TAG stuff takes me a few days.

No worries- I am hoping to have it in about 2 weeks so I can install before the auto train up North before thanksgiving.

I'll do my best. I have the TAG stuff fairly streamlined for me but 2 weeks isn't a ton of slush and I have both kids by myself for 3 days as this is "ladies weekend" so that won't be much of a chance to catch up. But I'll try, I usually get an hour or two while the kids sleep.

Got some black stainless screws for these after a few people requested that extra bit. Anyone with thoughts? Maybe a bit too Big Head Todd? Tiny overlap at the edges.
