I've had things continuously taken out the the back of my truck, but the tailgate on my previous tacoma was the last straw. I invested in a dual 24hr dashcam. Not to mention the bright red can of gas for the thieves to make it home..... ( Rock sugar, water, 92 octane gas minimum just for smell.

The gas container thing...pure gold. It makes me wish I did not have a tonneau cover.

Va Moonshine, I like your idea with the gas can. I'd probably have to add a lot of salt up here in the midwest so it wouldn't freeze.

I’m not trying to sound like an asshole, but unless u r dumb enough to back into something with the tailgate down (I would imagine the camera pointed towards the ground should b a hint), y the hall would u want a tailgate?

Unless some POS stole an original tailgate from someone, I can’t imagine y the hell tailgates r such a hot commodity. Maybe I am missing something.

Camera is made by Thinkware. Fairly straight forward. Spliced fuse setup under the hood.

Okay that makes more sense. I figured someone had to b profiting off the loss of others in order to flourish. Shady, but clever I guess. Still f’ed up.

The fact that a body shop would charge full price and potentially buy a used item is f’ed up and technically fraud. Let alone the fact that the customer expects new products and is given a stolen item. I love some of he internet and the USA, but we have made an art of f’ing others for profit and it’s sad. Sorry the OP has to deal with this crap.
