Does every 3rd gen tacoma comes with power tail gate

 

None comes with power tailgate. There's a damper on the way down.

The key must be used to lock it. If that is so then I will have to travel with spare key

That's what I did!

 

Dealer probably put an aftermarket power lock on your tailgate I don't believe they come from the factory like that correct me if I'm wrong.

 

It's probably an electric pop n lock. I installed one on mine. It ties into your door locks so when you lock or unlock the truck with your fob it will do the same for the tailgate.

 

Ah! I read @Xdm5.25 asking about power tailgate, not power tailgate lock...

 

I missed three of my kids birthdays waiting for that to cycle...

 

Golf states & Central Toyota Mafia distributers add a power tailgate lock as an option which is simply the pop-n-lock, but none add a power tailgate (that I've seen) as the OP asked.

 

That would seriously piss me off waiting on that. I would have already removed the tailgate at that point.
