tail lght blinker trouble

2001 tacoma reg cab, 2009 tacoma dble cab shb

when i turn on left blinker running lights come on and flash. checked everything out and it looks good . 90% of the wires are still in the factory wrap. anybody think it could be the combination light/blinker switch.thanks.
