I am not a mechanic & my ability is limited so I hope no one makes light or jokes about my ignorance. Noticed this on my truck today, I have no idea as to what happened, it is only the taillight no damage anywhere else, my question is this, can I replace this myself? will the dealership be able to order this part? any tips on as to how will be greatly appreciated! Thanks[IMG]

2 10mm bolts inside where the tailgate sits, then you'll have to pull hard on the light cause they snap in, once it comes out just unplug.

Check after market or the B/S/T thread on here for a light, the stealership will bend you over hard for a taillight.
Check am-autoparts, good prices & free shipping.

Thanks for all the input, I think I can handle it, I did look in the B/S/T but didn't see any, I did see some that I missed, I will look again, maybe I missed AR15xAR10's ad. if not I will keep checking, I would rather have original parts, I have found many after market units, but I think I will give it some time and maybe find originals, Thanks again!

Yes. After you undo the two bolts (IIRC, it is obvious when you look), I advise gently popping the assembly to the rear. A platic putty kniw between the housing and exterior bedside (in the vertical crack) is a great, delicate pry tool. There are a couple little plastic stem and socket tabs back there that are pretty easy to break if you are not cautious about them. They are gray in this video.

Which side is broken? Sort of looks like the right. I have a pair, but the right side one has a crack in it.
