Just bought a set of IPCW black tails and after putting them in, my tail lights aren't on in the dark when I turned my lights on, like my old lights were. Everything else works fine except that part.

    Any ideas?

L just found out in another thread that the DLRs come on at the first notch, then the second notch pulls up the tail lights and dims the display.
Third notch is headlights and tail lights and dim display. I'd like to do a mod on that to keep the display brought until headlights are on.

The tails only come on if you switch the headlight stalk to the first " parking lights " position or full headlights on position

Yes, its a Canadian truck. But correct me if I'm wrong, my tails should be on when I turn my headlights on.

I had DTRL on the mind, sorry about that

My tails aren't on with DTRL. Never had a vehicle with them that did either.

Oh, are you saying they don't come on when you move the switch to park, one before headlights on?

Check your 10 amp fuse under the drivers drop down pocket. Bet you money that you accidentally blew it.

You are right, that 10A fuse was blown. Replaced it and it blew again. Should I replace it with a bigger amp fuse? Would the new LED tails cause the 10amp to short out and need a 15 or 20?

Fuses are designed to handle double the amperage that that particular circuit would normally output in any given situation, so the taillight system at max uses a total of 5 amps. If you are blowing the fuses right away a higher amperage fuse is not the answer. Hell I used to run my entire LED light bar circuit off a 10 amp until I blew it because the fuse was underrated. If you are blowing the fuse right away before even activating the tail lights, I would suspect a short circuit is to blame for the issue. Remove the headlights from the equation entirely and attempt to put in a small 5 amp fuse or 10 (whichever you heave readily available and is not a high amp rating) if it blows right away again then you have a problem within the wiring, if it does not then I would condemn the taillights as being the fault within the circuit, and only then would I consider going back to the stock ones.

Took out my headlight fuses and replaces tail light fuse with a 15 amp. Tails works for 10 seconds then started to flicker and dim then blew the fuse. Where should I go from here?

A dead short is short for a short circuit that is grounding power from somewhere other then it's final output circuit. Remove the tails entirely and install a new fuse. If the fuse is fine then your problem is the tail lights.

If the problem continues, you could attempt to disconnect your turn signal stalk and test it. If you have something like a power probe handy you could attempt to apply power to the headlight on portion of the stalk circuit, if it trips the breaker on the power probe that's indicative of a short circuit within the turn signal/ headlight stalk. Another way to try this out if you have a spare is to replace the stalk and run it with the replacement to see if the fuse blows. Either way, you will be replacing multiple fuses before you figure out which it is. Lol.
