Tail Lights

Like the idiot I am, got distracted while backing up and hit the garage door and took out my left taillight so now I am looking for one. Anything I should be aware of or where to get one. Is the panel below the light the same color paint as the body or is it just a black that comes with the bumper.

 

You could probably pick one up in the f/s thread. Alot of people sell the stock tails. The bottom bumper cap is painted if you have the sport trim.

 

I don't see the damage from the pic, but if the damage is only on the tail light , it's the same. You have the chrome one. A lot of people here are trying to get rid off theirs. It's easy to find one with a cheaper price.

 

OEM replacement bumper cap is not painted (e.g. it is matte black plastic). There are several vendors that sell painted bumper caps.

Aftermarket tail light assembly is in the $90 range on Amazon and a discounted new OEM tail light assembly is about $150.
