Annual trip for me. Just went in may and thinking of going again in August. Love it. I always pull over and we take or own pictures.

A little of this and a little of that.
Nice photos and bike. The dragon is a lot of fun, and like you said, there are lots of great roads in the immediate area. The Cherohala Skyway is my favorite also.

I remember when you had your accident. The bike was a Buell right? Glad to see you're still riding, and I don't care what you wear/don't wear.

    Be safe!

The Dragon is fun I've never ridden it on a motorcycle but have driven it in my father's Boxster S with the top down it was fun. I much preferred the Blue Ridge Parkway to the dragon though much less traffic, the road is smoother, scenery is a better. I'd suggest you go to the Parkway at least once. We did it in early November I believe right before it shut down for the winter ~50 degrees F top down the whole way.

I did the Dragon back in the fall of 2005 on my Harley Street Glide, along with 4 buds.
It was a great 4 day trip up there and back.
(we did 1600 miles in 4 days...500 up and 500 back...and 300 each day up there)

Aahhh, youth is wasted on the young. :D

This ^^^ I agree with.

Cherohala was actually more enjoyable than the Dragon. But then again, I was on a heavy Harley bagger...and wore a jacket :D

Great road to ride on! I live an hr away and still haven't gone yet but my Kawi and I are going very soon. Very nice Gixxer too man! And usually when a motorcyclist wrecks it's either idiots on the road or when they go past their comfort zone but a jacket always helps. But I understand TN heat sucks during summer esp this summer.

Amen to that dude! TN humidity sucks it's even unbearable to even go out riding. It hit here in Cookeville 109 degrees that last week. I feel bad for the Nashville people they have been getting hit hard with the temp. I noticed we were going to have a bad summer having a half ass winter but hopefully fall will cool down.

I have never been there but I've heard alot about it. Have you tried a track day yet? If not you so should, if you liked the dragon you will LOVE the track.

and just to chime in, sweat wipes off easier than blood

You saw snow? I don't remember a winter...

But related to the op, I've always wanted to ride it on a bike. Maybe after college, when I actually have some money, I'll get a bike and ride it (carefully and with gear  )

That would be a pretty fun drive...assuming we don't get one of those weird sudden storms we've had lately. Sunny one minute, floodgates open the next.

Seeing as I slide around turns around town on a 0 grade hill, the mountains would eat me alive.
