    Meant CO2.

    Different gas, similar effect.

I just want to throw this out there...

I did a bunch of research before adding exhaust to my tundra and I read several posts of guys who actually got rid of some cab drone by chopping the tailpipe right behind the axle. Also said it made the exhaust note louder outside the truck(sound bouncing off ground I would guess)...

I will be chopping mine when I get around to it...

I could see it removing cab drone but when I had the exhaust under the truck it was super quiet outside compared to inside. Now I have a side exit in front of the axle and it has the best sound I've had so far.

    Interesting.

When yours was cut was it pointed to the ground? Are you running stock muffler? (These guys were running louder aftermarket mufflers to begin with)...

    Idk. :notsure:

Yeah I've had 2 kinds of aftermarket free flowing mufflers. It was turned down not straight back out which would hit/burn the axle.

Go to @Speed Freek in north county (San Diego) for reroutes has a lot of good reviews, he’s done a lot of Taco reroutes and I believe uses a mandrel for bends. He also does suspensions, etc.

Cut tailpipe about 1-2” behind muffler and angled tailpipe with a 45 degree downward cut. So put noise directly below rear right seat. I sound deadened under back seat and drone is gone

Custom fit with black BBQ paint is my vote.

    Looks nice.

I like quiet exhausts. I know that doesn't have the curb sizzle people go for and that a restrictive muffler can sap some power. But when i'm out hunting i'd rather not wake up the entire forest. Anyone have some advise or links on what kind of muffler I can put on to get my taco as quiet as possible?

Ok, but really- how about a detachable end for street and off road mode? If you put a flange on it, you could do it easily.

The muffler is a Magnaflow, the exhaust routing is custom.

Just cut it and run a new tube out the side, no drone and good to go, I can do custom exhaust stuff like that, pretty much however you want it OP.
