I removed my tailgate and now when I backup all I hear is the warning alarm if my backup sonar is activated. Took it to Toyota today to see if they could deactivate the tailgate alarm but no dice. They couldn’t trick it either. Any ideas?

I’m guessing there’s a switch to let you know if the tailgate is open or closed. See if you can trick it to make it think it’s closed. Maybe put something in the latched part?

The tail gate not being there isn’t going to effect your sensors. Looks like you have a aftermarket bumper with shackles? Looks like it’s picking up the shackle from the pic you posted

Have you deactivated the back-up sensors via the dash switch? It's located right in front of the shifter.

@Lawfarin you sir are correct! The sonar was picking up the shackle. Someone stole my shackle this morning which conveniently solved the issue. I apologize for the stupid post and thank you for the
positive replies. Face palm. Thank you! @STrooper

No problem man, sorry about the shackle. Thieves are scum.
