Hey everyone, I was wondering if anybody has the RockyMounts Monorail hitch platform on their 3rd Gen Taco, and if so, are you able to fully lower the tailgate? I've got an SR5 with the standard towing package, and wanted to know for sure before ordering online.

Their Backstage one works for sure - local guy with a blue Tacoma rocks that one.
1UP definitely works and I believe they have a new model out with new features too. Runs about $100 more than the Rockymounts

I don’t mean to revive a dead thread here, but since this was the 3rd search result I found from “RockyMounts monorail Tacoma,” I thought I’d give an update.

There ARE tailgate clearance issues with this rack. The tailgate will reach about 97% of its full extension and then rest on the rack at both the horizontal position as well as the tilted downward position. It’s very unfortunate because it is such a great rack!
