Have any of you changed out your tailgate panel? Was thinking of buying this one, but am open to other options? Let me know what you have done?

Looks functional but I'm not sure how much use I would really get from something like that.

Had a second hand Mountain Hatch on my ‘18 and loved it. First thing I ordered for my ‘22 was a new Mountain Hatch. Haven’t heard ‘boo’ from them since I ordered it the 1st week of October. Sent them and email, get some BS auto generated response. Send a FB message…crickets. While I love the Mountain Hatch product, their customer service is straight up trash at this point.

Got mine from SnailTrail4x4.com. It’s like the one you posted but without cup holders. It’s also the only one I’ve found that is cut properly to fit the tailgate without pulling down on the back corners. Hard to explain without pictures but if you look closely at the pic you posted, you can see that the back corners near the bed are lower than the rest of that back edge. That’s because there’s a raised rib under there. The snailtrail4x4 cover cuts out that section so that the whole panel sits flat.

I typically don't set my beer down long enough to need cupholders on the tailgate

I will second the SnailArmor insert. Great fitment, fast response from the small business owner, and amazing custom laser etching if you're into that. https://snailarmor.com/
No deep cup holders, which I was fine with, as those seem like something I would just twist my ankle in when standing on the hatch! I've been really happy with this purchase.

Mountain hatch is solid, no deep cup holders though. Can use it as a cutting board as well but honestly have never used it for that purpose. Just nicer to sit down on as it’s flat.

I made my own out of 1/4" HDPE sheet, (think cutting board material). Cost about $40 and took less than 30 min to cut and install.

+1 on the SnailArmor. Easy to install and has held up really well. Very happy with my decision.

I have this exact AL one that I picked up through a group buy. It's great! Sheesh, they are expensive when paying the full price though. I believe I paid 185 shipped a year ago in a good-sized (like 85 people) FB Tacoma group buy.

I have the same and love it. Pulled it off my 2nd gen and went straight into my 3rd gen. 8D21FE48-0BC3-4CDD-A248-0F6E13F9B84E.jpg

Well this is great. Yet another thing I didn't know I needed until I saw one here.

Mountain Hatch here too. Bought it directly from them last year during their Black Friday sale, saving $50. Honestly for what they are, they’re ridiculously expensive but at the same time the flat surface transforms the corrugated tailgate from completely worthless to useful. Even at $200, the value was there for me. I’m not using my tailgate as a cutting board though, as they advertise theirs. I’m not going to be dicing jalapeños on it- I just wanted a flat workspace for my Coleman grill, for me to sit on, for drinks, etc. I also did not want aluminum like many of the aftermarket ones- just wanted a material similar to the composite bed.
