Tailgate Jam

    Added a trailer hitch and the 4 pin connector
    I've done both of those things, and still just won't open.

    is it jammed on one side? does the handle open when you pull on it?

    Yep, it's jammed on the left side. When I pull on the handle the right side comes loose. We opened it up so I could look at the mechanism, I tried pulling on it. The wire connected to the latch seems to work, but the latch isn't opening. If that makes sense. We sprayed almost a whole bottle of liquid wrench on the latch, the mechanism, pretty much every where there is some sort of connection

    Get a crow bar out, im not sure how the wire (also known as a rod, ha) can move without the latch moving. something's locking the latch tho, so it doesnt sound like spray will help.

    I think it's something you'd have to see in person to help any further, so all i can say is good luck and post back with your fix so it helps others in the future!
