That looks pretty cool whippersnapper02. Is it only 1 each? If so, will 1 prevent the tailgate from being removed? I'm currently using 2 hose clamps on mine, 1 for each side.

I just ordered one today on Amazon. It was $19.90 + the shipping. Not that much of a price to keep the tailgate secure.

I don't see it as a big enough "improvement" over the standard hose clamp solution to make it worth buying.

I like the gatekeeper gadget. That may end up being my hoseclamp upgrade.

Got that & 2 hose clamps now. Just ordered the gatekeeper thing the other day for one side & just got my EZ down thing. Will be doing the support cable mod when putting on the EZ down. So it'll end up having hose clamp on one side, gatekeeper on the important side, EZ down and cable hanger mod WITH the popnlock that's already there. All that and it sleeps in a locked garage at night, lol.

I purchased the McGard thing, and as stated above, it didn't fit. I made some modifications with a dremel tool, and removed the plastic housing, now it fits like a dream.

absolutly, but can't remove except with that special "key". I tried to get on it with some pliers, but couldn't get a grip to turn it at all. I figured i had bought the stupid thing, might as well make it work

I bought the Bully one from Amazon.com and its very loose. I wish i stayed with the hose clamp. I may put a hose clamp on under the lock.

Please explain how these locks help prevent a tailgate to be stolen. I am still dazed how this can help. My tailgate got stolen and bought a Mcgard tailgate lock at Pepboys, but still trying to figure out how this lock works to prevent theft. Kindly reply if you know the reason. Thanks guys :D
