A hose clamp is a cheaper option.

... and more effective. Apparently the tailgate can still be taken off with the Master Lock installed. Do a search, it's around here somewhere.

I had my tailgate stolen in Montreal at the Dorval Travelodge Park/Sleep/Fly/Steal. I now have a clamp and a Pop & Lock PL #8540.

Just keep in mind, if they want it bad enough. They will find a way to get it. You might be able to slow them down. But not enough, they will just take your hole truck if needed

Thanks. I already have the hose clamp and a leer cap. If it fits that's another option for me to consider.

The only time that I take a hole truck, is when I haul the whole truck to the wreckers.
