Tailgate Lock

I have the manual one key to the factory. I actually forget about it and just use it now for a couple of years. However on install I sanded smooth any casting marks and mating surfaces. Clean and lubed the cables and latches and greased all the moveable parts/surfaces I could get to. Occasionally spray silicone into lock. Keeping fingers crossed.

 

There’s is no wiring. It’s completely manual. You can swap your back up camera into it if you have one. And you have to flip one of the latch rods around. But it comes with directions and it’s a simple install

 

The one he linked will not respond to a key fob as it is the manual version.

The one that unlocks with the doors using the key fob has to be wired into the door lock circuit.

This one is tied into the electrical system.
