If it was me, id buy one that comes unpainted. I just recently bought a sport hood that was primed black, and it was beat to hell during shipping. Fortunately, since it wasn't painted (color matched) I was able to heat it up and beat it back into shape so it would fit properly. By buying one unpainted, you leave yourself the flexibility of doing a little body work if need be. Just my .02 cents. Good luck

Everything from '05-'15 will fit your truck.

Junk yard and body shop, you'll be good to go.

    Good luck.

PS, my body shop bought a door shell for me from Toyota for less than an aftermarket part cost when a little boo boo needed attention. I mean it's something to ask about.

It's definitely worth checking local salvage yards. If someone totaled their truck, there's the chance the tailgate is still in fine condition.

I used the search feature and did some research. It seems that they are of decent quality and the one thread I read the post explained how much he loved his.

I'm just worried about long term with rust being a problem.

I know there is some other threads that discuss repainting costs... But the figures are all over the place, how much recently would it cost to have one sanded and repainted with no other body work?
