Tailgate table idea???

Saw it somewhere as well but its meant for a jeep swing out hatch. Looks like this guy figured out how to attach it on a hinge. Id be interested to hear how he attached this for those that don't have a tire swing out to mount it too.

Darn, it's been so long ago that I don't even remember where I saw it. But looks like a drop down table thats mounted to a frame. He probably used the bed stiffeners as a mounting point for the hinges. Most likely will need some type of locking mechanism to keep it from flapping around when driving. Yall may have inspired me to start a new project lol

 

Yeah it looks to me like he either found or fabbed the rectangle piece that is the swing out and welded hinges to both it and his bed stiffeners then mounted a front runner drop down table.

I was hoping the rectangle swing out piece with hinges was something that could be purchased.

This is the closest thing I’ve found. Looks like you need to use their stiffeners though.
