    Guys,
After hittin' the Master lock site high lighted in this conversation Master told me them didn't do sales from there & that I had to find my own retail outlet.
I ended up goin' to DFW Camper Correl & got a Maguard unit. We only need to do the right side.Lookin' from the rear. The left side is already a solid circle.

I'm not sure what you are talking about, unless you tried reaching them by phone to order it. You can order directly from the Master Lock website here:

Just ordered the master lock one (just had the hose clamp on yesterday :)). I assuming there is only one model at that site?

Also, any locks for spare tire?

Question to those who have the Master Lock for the tail gate: Does it clamp snug or does it have some play? I just got mine yesterday and installed it today. I have some play, so just want to make sure I have it on right. Thanks

you should have a little bit of play so that it can rotate when the tailgate is closed. sounds like you have it on just right.

Yes, there should be some play but if you don't want too much play on it you can wrap some tape over the tailgate hinge hook, like I did, to keep it from rattling around too much.

I bought the Hose Clamps 2 pack this afternoon at Advance Auto Parts for $2.99. Put one of the clamps on in minutes and am done.

Thank you very much for this Mod!

Those will rust in a year. Keep your eye on them. I got a stainless steel clamp that is only rusting on the screw head. These clamps don't last but a couple years in wet climate.

That is not a bad idea, what kind of tape did you use (electrical)? Cheers

What I used when I had the hose clamp, Temflex, it is thicker than electrical tape. There is a picture of it at post 584 on this thread.

I installed the Pop n Lock, because, I do take the tailgate off at times.

Usually, when I am going to haul something heavier that a dirt bike; I use ramps to load; and the weight of some garden tractors, or similar equipment is more that the tailgate will take. Oh Yea, the famous bending tailgates. And I even have mine reinforced; but why take chances.

The clamp is a great idea; if you don't usually take the tailgate off.

The Pop n Lock wasn't hard to install at all.

I won't say it it is theft proof; because somebody, maybe could prybar it. But it looks sturdy enough for the "occasional" thief.

I installed just a simple hose clamp. Not a lot of protection, but it stops someone from walking by and taking it. Once I get my canopy on I'll feel a bit more secure.
