Anyone able to track down the exact weight for the 3rd gen tailgate?

I can't seem to find a good answer.

Planning an alu-cab canopy camper build, need to subtract that weight from the build.

As easy as they come off just stick it on your house scale.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
    Pretty easy to figure out.
    Take it off.
Stand on the scale holding the tailgate. Save the reading.
Stand on the scale again without the tailgate. Subtract that reading from the prior one.
    Result is your tailgate's weight.

50-60 lbs is all. I had mine off multiple times. Not heavy.

Crazy how much heavier the tacomas tailgate is compared to an f-150. Helped my old man with something and thought it was going to fly away when I went to shut it.
