A picture of damage harness would help, although there are only 2 OEM choices. On for the camera (the one you linked) and the one for the tailgate lock solenoid.

Here you go. Its between the bed and the tailgate when you drop the tailgate.

I never realized my tailgate locked I figure it was just for the camera. Maybe I did damage something if it is supposed to lock. Just tried it and all doors lock but not the tailgate.

The clip at the top does hold. I think I broke it when I took green stuff to the dump. One of the branches must of went between the bed and tailgate and I just ripped it out to dump everything.

Also all the harness I see on ebay have the part number sticker on it mine doesn't. I found a used one on ebay for the camera and just ordered it since was cheap. Hope its the one.

I only see one entry… no tailgate remote lock/unlock, so it should be the camera harness. If it’s still working you should be fine. However, I understand your drive to replace it. Easy find from junkyards.

If you had the tailgate lock there'd be 2 harnesses.

I'm sure it will be fine but I rather avoid troubles. Ebay was $20 so not going to hurt the wallet.
