Needing help putting a new taillight assembly on. I’m not good with wiring much but I was wondering if there’s I can connect these somehow. Like if the bulb socket can be removed.

Just push the release on the gray connector and pull out the black lamp socket. Do not twist just pull straight out.

it seems like it’s in there tight, I’m going from regular bulbs to led and all three have them on it. Would it be better just to get a new harness?

It can be a little hard to get out sometimes take a small flat head screw driver put it between the connector and the lamp socket while pushing the release and gently work it out.

Note: make sure you are pushing the release completely to release the lamp socket.

Shouldn’t you be able to remove the led lamps from there sockets and put them in your existing?

It’s a whole different assembly, instead of the factory taillight I got one of them smoked out ones from a lady on marketplace, think she said she got it from Tacoma beast. I’m having a friend come over later and check it out and see if he can do it. I’ll keep this updated.

Put the socket back in the fixture to hold it. Release the tab as @t0p_d0g mentions and pull off the harness.

You want to save everything so you can return to the OE setup in case the LEDs cause weirdness, which they sometimes do.
