I am trying to remove the taillight assemblies to switch out the back up lights. I followed the Manual and removed the two 10mm bolts upper and lower. The assembly is loose but will not pull straight out to the rear per the manual. There may be a clip or something, but I did not want to force anything. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I just gave mine a slight tug straight back and they came right out.

Make sure you are removing the right two bolts. There are four on each sideimage.jpgthe first time I did it was pretty tough and required some force.

Mine was on there pretty tight. But, I wrapped the tip of a broad, flat head screwdriver with tape to gently pry it loose.

Did the LED backup lights a couple of weeks ago and it took way more force than I felt it should take to remove them.
