I have a 2014 dcsb 4x4 6 speed. I've done a lot to the truck lately but I still have a shudder on take off. Freshly resurfaced flywheel, new aisin clutch kit, new carrier bearing, all u joints have been inspected multiple times and are good. Anything I'm missing here? Could the clutch accumulator be causing this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Is it associated with releasing the clutch? If so, there's a break in period where you can get a little shudder until the pressure plate/disc/flywheel get bedded in.

Yes it shudders as I'm letting the clutch out on take off, it stops as soon as it's engaged completely. I've put about 100 miles on it with the new clutch so far. The driveshaft carrier bearing was definitely amplifying the shudder so it's not quite as bad now but still very noticable

Could be the pressure plate or oil or contaminants on the clutch disc.
Did you do the work or did a garage do the work? If a garage then take it to a different place and have the problem diagnosed.

My good buddy runs a shop so we did it one evening, we made sure everything was clean and everything was inspected visually when we were installing it

Is lifted? If so. Do you have a spacer for the carrier bearing? Does the rear axle have a tapered block or degreed shim? If you lifted with and aal or leaf springs.

Well that eliminates lift issues in the rear.

Yeah, I replaced the carrier bearing because it was a little loose. It definitely was amplifying the shudder but wasn't the root cause of it

Remove rear drive shaft. Does it do it in front wheel drive?

There's at least two separate shudders these trucks make. Is it doing it while the clutch is actually slipping? Or can you let the clutch completely out, idling along, then replicate the shudder accelerating off idle without any clutch slippage?

My truck does both, minor driveline shudder during takeoff that is the result of a lift in the rear, and a clutch shudder that only happens when cold and goes away after 2 or 3 starts in the morning.

I'll pull the driveshaft this evening to see what it does, and it only shudders as the clutch is slipping. From a dead stop as soon as I start letting the clutch pedal out it start to shudder, after the clutch is fully engaged it stops. Mine does this all the time basically

You need more than 100 miles on the clutch. Drive it normally and report back after a couple hundred more.

Mine does this first thing in the morning, usually when it's damp outside. It only does it once then it's fine, and only when I'm starting out from my first stop which is a pretty steep uphill.
I would tend to agree with the others here that it should smooth out over time, when the surfaces wear in a little.
    Please keep us posted!
