    Hello everyone!

My brother-in-law has a 2021 TRD Pro that accelerates rapidly and reaches higher speeds more quickly than my 2022 TRD Sport.

What modifications can I make to my TRD Sport to improve its acceleration and speed?

Unless you have different transmissions, the only differences in the trucks would be your tire sizes, and the additional weight of your long bed.

Remove rear seat, bed panels. Add sticky tires. Learn to stomp pedal harder.

5.29 rear gear. Pedal commander. Lighter tires and wheels. Tune. No tailgate. And race him with less than a 1/8 tank. Put trans in sport mode and hold revs to at least 5800 rpm’s.

But at the very least, get the lower gear and the pedal commander.

    I’m disappointed in these responses

    Correct answer is LS swap

LS swapped my lawnmower. I'm not allowed to buy another LS for the year.

Pop a truck bed on the back of the lawnmower. Be just as useful as a Maverick

4th gen Tacoma has same engine as Maverick has, except Taco is heavier, bigger and double in price xD

Man I can't wait people coming here and crying , wishing for big ol' V6

That 4 cyl is pretty much undoubtedly going to smoke us. I doubt anybody will be wishing for the 3.5 power or lack thereof back.

Right, like the Tundra Turbo charged V6 smoked us and blew up xD? Poor engine man, carrying that huge ass truck weight

If both are Auto, is the ECT button set the same? Also maybe gas up using the same gas and retest.

I'm honestly curious on what the real world is going to show on that one. On paper the turbo 4 looks like it will be a neck and neck against the 3.5. The turbo hybrid will smoke it. It will be fun to see how they do once they start hitching trailers to those setups.

It has the same horsepower as we do and has around 50 more ft lbs of torque and achieves all of that torque at 1700 rpm. It will smoke us. Not sure what you’re referring to on the tundra. Apples and oranges, different truck and engine, and I’m sure most of them are fine.
