Same. Buddy used to say the same thing, if my house catches fire, I want to sweep the slab off and start over, not fix a half burnt house haha.

Better check reviews on them. Lots of people say they don't work or the batteries fail.

to be fair he called out toyota for not making his truck theft proof. totally reasonable right? Also has a garage that could have avoided this

Mine won't even work in my left pocket. I need to put it in my right start the truck. Drives me nuts. I wonder what's creating the difference.

2nd runner up on blaming the OP, lol!
He made no such claim those are your words. He only complained about the rear door not alarming. He didn’t blame Toyota on the theft… like you just blamed the OP in essence for not parking in his garage. How dare he park his truck in his own driveway lol
I think I’ll blame the thief. And I just might be right.

Actually i was the first to blame the op because i live in a place that does this and i make sure that i dont give them the opportunity.

See how reality works: Theft is a crime of opportunity take the opportunity away and you dont have theft. Glad you could sit down for that lesson we can go over it again if its too much for you to comprehend.

I stand corrected, you are the winner of the thread asshat award for blaming the victim lol.
Some advice - don’t be an asshat and you won’t win awards for being one lol. There’s my lesson ;)

When the public starts taking things into their own hands to deal with thieves will be when things change. As long as people expect politicians or police to deal with this problem nothing is going to stop them.

think lighting switches fit the "flavor" of a tacoma more. Cigarette switch would stand out in a modern car, especially if you don't smoke in your car and it doesn't stink.

Odd..I don't have an alarm on mine, but I remember long ago even the POS one I got at Radio Shack in the 90s had a voltage drop sensor that any light turning on would trip it.

    Sorry about your truck, OP.

    Sorry for your loss ...

FWIW .. I have WYZE and NEST cameras and both will send me a signal/alarm with that much activity.

PS ... Wyze cameras are super good cameras for the money and cheap prices for cloud storage too. I actually like them better than Nest.

My Wyze cam will get good pics through the front window dbl pane glass and send me a signal when a car passes or a morning newspaper is delivered out front. You can turn down alarm signal setting too.

PS ... I have lived in Montreal and QC and Drummondville, almost got robbed and car stolen in Sorel. Had apartments in those cities when I worked out of Quebec.
