You can hike it. But that would require modding your body. Much more difficult.

Don't even try without sliders and skids. Expect to ruin the factory bumpers. Bring a spare CV shaft.
Most of the obstacles and bypasses would be fine with a stock 4x4 with one locker and a good driver, Big Sluice is going to be problematic in a long, low truck. That said, personally, I wouldn't take a stock Taco on the Rubicon.

Here is a vlog we did of our trip a couple year ago in the Jeep, most of the obstacles are shown. JK is on 40's for reference.

You need armor and a tougher tire.

My thought was just simply people under estimate what stock vehicles can do. Has anyone tried it in a stock taco? I real good technical driver (not someone who aims and prays) might be able to do it.

Great way to turn a new $40K truck into a $15K truck in just one weekend.

I'm not saying you couldn't drag a stock Taco through the Rubicon. I'm saying it's a bad idea

There was a 2nd Gen (all full armor/locked, nicely modded) video about a year ago detailing their Rubicon trail trip, really showed how difficult the terrain is out there...

Ooh, I don't recommend a stock Taco for this unless you don't care about lots-o-body damage, minimally. And, make sure your friend have straps and winches to pull you through!

Anyone want to make a prediction on how this will go?

I predict the vast majority of responses will recommend he not do this however, pride and bravado will overcome reason. Against recommendations and reason OP will decide to meet up with the Bro’s and attempt the Rubicon in, at best, a slightly modified Tacoma. Results will be mild to major damage to the truck and pride.

More importantly, does the warranty cover it?

If ever it was appropriate for the “subbed for outcome” response, now is it.

Nothing the new lot at the dealership can’t correct. Attitude, abandonment of common sense and cash will counter anything you come across.
