i have a 2008 off road that's lifted a couple inches with spacers i believe, and I just bought some 3rd gen bilstein take offs with 600 miles on them. I try to do everything myself if i can, and I'd like to take it back to stock height. the struts didn't come with springs... should i use mine with 80k on them or should i buy some new? Also I've always heard struts are kind of dangerous to mess with. I've been watching some YouTube videos, but am wondering what some of your good advice would be? Also do I need to consider doing something about the "taco lean"? love this forum and have learned a ton, thanks in advance , bob

Idk if id mess with the springs, im no expert on this stuff but for springs id have a shop do that. The rest you can do easy. As for if you can use those springs u already have id guess prob not unless they fit. That same shop or dealership could prob tell you. If not you could prob buy some springs on line or maybe even toyota sells just the springs. Or just find a complete set of 3rd gen take offs. I did some quick googling and idk if i can find any springs that are ok with the oem parts you got. They say "not for use with oem springs" even tho they are for aftermarket bilsteins.
