Atleast the bed isn't rotted to shit like most of these trucks are. I had an 83 that I paid $400 for but it looked like a $400 dollar truck. Lol

These are becoming impossible to find. It's not rotted out. I can see why they priced it at $7,000. Don't think that's crazy at all.

For a tenth of that price, it looks like it might be a fun truck, but for 7k, you're talking collector pricing and no room for Kentucky pin striping.

My first Toyota was an '80 4x4. That was in '93 when i was 16 and i was THE SHIT in that truck. Didnt have enough power to get out of its own way but it was still awesome.

Have no comments on the value as I'm not educated in old-classic vehicles.
This would make a fun restoration job though.

FWIW, I paid $4,900 and while it has a little more body rust, mine is in overall better condition than the on in the ad. Especially the interior. And has the SR5 package.

I searched high and low on the forums and CL and the value of the '79-'83s seem to have at least DOUBLED in the last 10 years. No doubt it's because the market has been dried up by people destroying them on the trails, the popularity of this particular generation, and it's beginning to fall into the 'classic/antique' category. I saw several in the $6-7k range and one that had been pretty much restored going for $12k.

No money, all went to truck...
What I would do for a 1980s cherry toyota truck...

Anyway you guys should see what old toyotas sell for here in Hawaii. You think all the prices listed in this thread are bad, Hawaii people are insane for old toys.
