settle down pipsqueak -- here is what you said about Bush's IQ and Texas:

You're saying that somebody with the IQ of a "fetal pig in a jar" is qualified to be the Governor of Texas. Furthermore, you also say he can be Governor "only of Texas" which indicates that you believe all Texans are dumb. Hence, you're making a broad stereotype that Texans are dumb along with their Texas Governor.

Again... so sad that all you do is look backwards. But I will point your attention to the fact that Obama reads EVERYTHING from a teleprompter. I would even go as far as arguing that he lacks any original thought. His campaign was the brain child of David Axlerod (who himself indicates that he is a specialist in making black candidates appeal to white votors). When you hear Obama speak without a teleprompter he sounds like Bush: Umm... er... ahh.... um... well..., etc.

I think you're missing the point. Obama is a hypocrite -- always will be. He is compared to Bush because Obama said he was different when he clearly is not (other than the whole socialist thing...) Same old shit.

Bottom line is that overspending has been a problem for the US government for decades. Different parties grow the government in different ways. Democrats tend to inflate government by creating tons of social programs. Republicans inflate the economy by spending it on defense ( we spend more than 45% of the total global financing for our military) , and so on. Take away the names and programs and its the same thing: government spending and growing the government. I don't see sides here. Republicans seem to somehow think that they're innocent of shrinking government. Bull crap. They grow it just the same.

Typical party line BS with the hardliners not capable of seeing beyond their own precious ideologies.

President Bush had the EXACT SAME stuff. Personally, I'm glad that the President- whoever he is- is well protected.

Nazi? I knew a liberal would be the first to invoke Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies. Very ignorant. Typical liberal.

They're the most conservative, Republican Network on the air. Of course people that think Conservatives are great are going to LOVE this network. FOX isn't stupid. They know they have a lucrative niche and catering to Conservatives is a smart move.
They're no more biased than FOX. I agree- CNN is a super liberal network and their CEO has made openly anti-conservative statements.

Bottom line: If you get your news from either network, then its no wonder to me that most Americans really don't know what's going on.

I have an idea: There's obviously people here who HATE Obama, will hate him even is he personally gives everyone a million dollars, decides to build 3,000 aircraft carriers, force Christianity as "THE" religion of the land, and makes bullets legal to buy next to the chewing gum at 7-11. There's also people that HATE (ed) Bush and always did, no matter what he did, said, or whatever. It wouldn't have mattered if he had made it a requirement for all SUVs to be crushed, All wars to be stopped, and so on, people that hated him and his part will always hate him and his party.

So perhaps we need a more simplistic approach to political threads. Admit that you aren't changing any opinions. People are pretty set in stone as far as what they believe by the time they're a teenager. So doing so is a waste of time. I'm not sure what that is, but these threads all go the same way.

apparently you don't realize that the cost of a repair isn't always directly proportional to the cost of the damage...

True, provided the repair money is actually addressing the problem. However, if the shop is spending your insurance repair money on condom programs for someone else's kid who can't keep it in his pants, a lot of money is going to be spent and you'll still be stuck with a busted up truck.

YEAH!!! And those freakin liberal retards over at MSNBC or CNN are better!!!!!!!!!! Did you see the CNN reporter bashing the people at the tea party rallies? Yeah, that was GREAT reporting!!!
OR how about the news on any of the tea party rallies...? OOOOOOHHHH, wait!!!! Was it on the front cover of the New York times...??? NO!!!
What about on any of the news channels other than FOX? I tried to watch the news this morning to see who was fair and not biased, and you know what, Fox reported the news!!! ALL OF THE FREAKING news, not just the liberal rating of some idiot. I think CNN was second with about 15 seconds, and NBC was (and I mean Literally) at only 3 seconds and then trailed into the protests in Afghanistan.
IF THE RALLIES WERE ABOUT PEOPLE MARCHING AGAINST THE WAR OR ABOUT ANY LIBERAL ISSUES... IT WOULD BE SPLATTERED ALL OVER THE FREAKING FRONT COVER OF NY TIMES OR MSNBC...
I'm not trying to be a mean or call you out, but this really pisses me off...
....sorry i just got through watching MSNBC and I'm still rolling over what they were saying about MILITARY people like myself and may of you out there being possible terrorists...!!! AND WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE BANNING OF USING THE WORD "TERRORIST" anyways????!?!!!!?!?!? Guess they can call us Terrorist, but not those poor helpless bombers or those poor "freedom fighters"

i know.... obviously i am somewhat of an obama supporter (considering how little i pay attention to politics on the news)

unfortunately no matter how great a presidential canidate seems there will always be things said while running that don't happen once elected... every president has done this, every president will do this

unfortunately, no matter how idealistic their goals are going into office, they will always be compromised once there... always has been, always will be

it seems like people forget that obama is president of a democracy, not a king... rarely can you blame any one decision solely on him. there are 100's of liars, cheaters, and conartists holding office that all have some influence on the decision making process for obama... whether he likes it or not. there will always be earmarks, there will always be some level non-transparency, and there will always be some level of "politics as usual"... even if obama is trying to avoid that he still works/depends on people that aren't and he's still gotta deal. sometimes you gotta give on one promise to get on another. does that make him a liar or hipocrite? no. it makes him president... i think it comes with the territory.

do i think he is infalable? no

do i think he is a step up from our previous president? yes

do i think he is doing what he and his advisors think is best for the country? yes and i don't presume to know all the details behind his decisions and judge him based on the crap i hear from cnn or fox or any of ther other extremely biased news groups out there... just because you watch the news doesn't mean you have any real idea what is going on in washington

    well...

122,293,547 people voted in the most recent election... according to gallup.com, obama has a 63% approval rating... (granted this isn't at all scientific or maybe even the way to determine this... but just something to consider)

but if gallup.com is at all representative of the countries feeling then i would say roughly 77,044,934.61 people would vote for him today
